Joe Jurecka, M.S

Joe Jurecka is a full time meteorologist who also has unique combination of meteorological and electronics backgrounds. His contributions to Firefightertoolbox.com will interweave both his specialties with firefighting and firefighter operations.

After earning is B.S. in Electronics Engineering specializing in Telecommunications, he served for over a decade with a major cellular telephone infrastructure company.  He has held roles ranging from network engineering to product management and managed the E911 phase 2 deployment which allowed for precise positioning of people in need.

Joe wanted yet more and went back to college to earn a M.S. in Atmospheric Science which allowed him to combine his passion for electronics and weather.

Today, Joe , living in Texas, and in his off-duty time has written a highly useful application for viewing weather radar and observation data on the Android platform which can be found at  PYKL3Radar.com.
