A Firefighter’s Thoughts: To Be Saved -Never Forget

To Be Save – Never Forget

The fire service is a profession that is known for saving lives. There are countless pictures, stories, and books written of firefighters and their heroic actions. Men, women, and children have been pulled almost miraculously out of seemingly impossible circumstances by the firefighters who serve this great country.

Let us take a moment and look at the phrase “to be saved”.

What does it truly mean?

To be removed from harm, to rescue, to bring out of dark circumstances, to give another chance… All of these are good examples but can you think of the ultimate example?

“Greater love has no man than this, than to lay down one’s life for His friends.” (John 15:13)

The people that have been saved by firefighters are grateful but those who live on due to the sacrifice of another is another level of gratitude entirely.

“For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son to condemn the world but to save it.”  (John 3:16-17)

God loves you this much my friends. He has saved us and we have the choice to accept or deny this free gift. Will you accept Christ as your Savior and “Never Forget” His sacrifice for you?

God Bless & Stay Safe,
