In this episode, David J. Soler shares the best way/how to wear a portable radio so that it is protected and ready when we need it. In some departments, the importance of properly carrying and protecting your portable radio is not stressed enough.

If we look at videos of firefighters on the fire ground, pictures, etc., we will see multiple different ways firefighters wear their portable radios. Did you know that we are risking our lives by being indifferent or nonchalant about how we carry our radio?

I will be sharing with you from experience the best way to don your portable radio and how to wear it during calls to best protect the radio and lapel mic, to give you the best reception, and to be able to hear it the best.
