About Battalion Chief Mike Meyers:

Battalion Chief Meyers has spent 22 years with FDNY. In that time he has served 6 of those years as a Battalion Chief in Times Square B-9, 5 years as a Captain in Ladder 4 (Times Square), 2 years as a Lieutenant in Ladder 11 (Lower East Side, Manhattan), 2 years as a firefighter on Rescue 4 (Queens) and 7 years as a firefighter on Ladder 175 in East NY (Brownsville Brooklyn).

In addition to his extensive experience of active fire ground roles, he has served for 10 years as a Plans Section Chief w/ FDNY Incident Management Team, 1 year as an Operations Section Chief with the FDNY IMT, FDNY Operations Section Chief for Times Square New Years Eve, Macy’s July 4th Fireworks and  Super Bowl 2014 in NY/NJ Super Bowl Blvd.
He has been deployed & assisted with Hurricane Katrina/New Orleans, Hurricane Gustov/Baton Rogue, Hurricane Irene/NYC, Superstorm Sandy/NYC, forest fires in Washington State, Idaho, & New Mexico, Gulf Oil Spill(Deep Water Horizon Miss) and Bio pod NYC. Through this impressive career he has also has found time to teach ICS around the country for the Wiland Assoc. in Minnesota, Virginia, Michigan, Hawaii, NY, NJ, Alaska, Washington State and Texas.
